1. About this Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how CyberTech Intelligence ("CTI", "we", "us" or "our"), a cybersecurity intelligence platform powered by Intent Amplify, uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit cybertechintelligence.com or interact with related CTI digital experiences.

It applies to website browsing, newsletter subscriptions, research and gated-content downloads, event and webinar registrations, community and executive-engagement programs, contact forms, partner and sponsored programs, and other online touchpoints that link to this policy.

This Cookie Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy provides additional information about the personal information we collect, how we use and disclose it, international transfers, security and the rights available to you.

2. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files placed on or read from your browser or device when you visit a website. Cookies may be set by CTI (first-party cookies) or by service providers and other organizations whose technology appears on our site (third-party cookies).

Session cookies generally expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain until their stated expiry date or until you delete them. We may also use similar technologies, such as local storage, pixels, tags, software development tools, APIs and pseudonymous browser or device identifiers. In this policy, we refer to all of these technologies as "cookies" unless the context requires otherwise.

3. How we use cookies and cookie-derived data

Depending on your choices and location, we use cookies for the following purposes:

  • Operate the website and requested features, including page delivery, sessions, forms, authentication, load balancing and consent management.
  • Protect the website, users and CTI systems against fraud, abuse, automated scraping, malicious activity and security incidents.
  • Understand website traffic, content engagement, referring sources, navigation paths, errors and overall performance so we can improve our research, user experience and digital services.
  • Remember settings and preferences, such as language, display choices, content settings and cookie selections.
  • Measure campaign performance, content journeys and attribution for newsletters, research downloads, events, webinars, sponsored programs, partnerships and cybersecurity GTM initiatives.
  • Where enabled and permitted, build or use audiences, limit ad frequency, personalize promotional content and measure advertising or cross-channel marketing activity.

Cookie-derived data may include your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, approximate location derived from IP address, page URLs, clicks, scrolls, timestamps, referrer, campaign parameters, session identifiers, cookie identifiers and other pseudonymous online identifiers. We do not intend to use cookies to collect precise geolocation, health information, biometric information, government identifiers or other sensitive personal information.

Where permitted by law and clearly disclosed, we may associate cookie-derived data with information you provide to us, such as your name, business email address, job title, company, subscription preferences, research downloads, event registrations, form submissions and communication history. We may use the combined information to provide requested content, understand engagement, improve audience and account-level insights, personalize communications, measure campaigns and support CTI's cybersecurity research, executive-engagement and GTM programs.

Cookie consent is separate from email marketing consentAccepting cookies does not by itself subscribe you to marketing emails or authorize CTI to share information submitted through a form with a sponsor or partner. Separate notices, choices and unsubscribe mechanisms apply to those activities.

4. Cookie categories

Our Cookie Preferences tool groups cookies into the categories below. A current inventory should identify the specific cookie or technology, provider, purpose and lifespan. Necessary cookies are always active because they are required to provide the website or a feature you request. Other categories are optional and are used only in accordance with your choices and applicable law.

CategoryPurposeTypical dataDefault and retention

These may support sessions, consent choices, forms, authentication, fraud prevention, load balancing and troubleshooting.Session or security identifiers, consent status, technical settings and limited device or network information.Always active. Session cookies expire when the browser closes. Persistent necessary cookies are normally limited to 12 months unless a longer period is required for security, legal compliance or a user-requested service.
AnalyticsMeasure visits, engagement, traffic sources, navigation, errors and performance so we can improve CTI content, research experiences and the website.Pseudonymous identifiers, IP address or truncated IP address, browser/device details, referrer, page and event data, and approximate location.Optional. Analytics identifiers and event-level data are normally retained for no more than 14 months. Aggregated or de-identified statistics may be retained longer.

Campaign-attribution records linked to a business contact are normally retained for up to 24 months from the last meaningful interaction, unless a shorter period applies or a longer period is required by law or an active business relationship.

5. Data retention and deletion

We apply purpose limitation, data minimization and storage limitation. We retain identifiable or pseudonymous cookie data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, to honor your choices, to protect the website, to meet legal or contractual obligations, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Unless the Cookie Preferences inventory identifies a shorter period, the following standards apply:

Aggregated or de-identified statisticsMay be retained longerUsed only where the information is not reasonably capable of being linked to an individual.

A "meaningful interaction" may include a research download, event registration or attendance, subscription update, form submission, response to a communication, or another engagement that demonstrates an active relationship with CTI. If you withdraw consent or opt out, we stop future optional-cookie processing as required. We may retain a limited suppression or audit record so that we can continue to honor your choice and demonstrate compliance.

6. First-party and third-party cookies

First-party cookies are set by CTI. Third-party cookies are set by or communicate with another organization, such as a website hosting or security provider, consent-management provider, analytics provider, customer-relationship or marketing-automation provider, advertising or social-media platform, email or event platform, or an embedded-content provider.

A third party may process information on our behalf as a service provider or processor, or may determine certain purposes independently as a separate controller or business. Where required, the Cookie Preferences inventory should identify the provider and link to relevant information about its practices. Third-party technologies are subject to the user's choices and to our contractual, security and transfer requirements, but the third party's own policy may also apply to its independent processing.

Embedded videos, podcasts, social features or external content may not load, or may load in a privacy-enhanced mode, until you choose to activate the feature or permit the relevant cookie category.

7. Managing your cookie choices

When the cookie banner is displayed, you can:

  • Select Accept All to allow all available cookie categories.
  • Select Reject Non-Essential to keep only Necessary cookies active.
  • Select Customize Preferences to choose Analytics, Preference and Marketing cookies separately.
  • Select Read Our Cookie Policy to review this policy without changing your choice.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by selecting Cookie Preferences in the website footer. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. Your choice is normally stored for the browser or device you used. If you clear cookies, use another browser or device, or use a private browsing mode, you may need to choose again.

You may also manage cookies through your browser or device settings. Blocking all cookies may prevent the website or certain features from working correctly. Rejecting optional cookies will not stop communications that you separately requested; use the unsubscribe link in an email or contact us to change those preferences.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom (UK): any choice you make via our consent checkboxes is entirely voluntary, granular, and specific. All optional cookie category checkboxes are unticked (set to "off") by default. You are under no obligation to tick any checkbox to access the core services of this website.

Furthermore, withdrawing your consent is designed to be just as easy as giving it. You can change your preferences or completely revoke your consent at any time by clicking the permanent "Cookie Preferences" link located in the footer of every webpage. Upon rolling back or unticking a category checkbox, we will immediately cease deploying new cookies from that category and will attempt to delete existing first-party cookies associated with that purpose.

8. Regional privacy choices

8.1 European Economic Area, United Kingdom and other opt-in jurisdictions

Where applicable law requires prior consent, we do not set or read Analytics, Preference or Marketing cookies until you have made an affirmative choice, except where a technology is strictly necessary to provide a feature you request. Optional categories are off by default. You may refuse or withdraw consent without losing access to the core website, although some optional features may be unavailable.

For personal data processed through optional cookies, our legal basis is generally your consent. For Necessary cookies and related personal-data processing, we may rely on the need to provide a service or feature you request, comply with law, and our legitimate interests in operating, securing and troubleshooting the website. More information about your data-protection rights and how to make a request is available in our Privacy Policy.

We strictly separate your choice regarding website cookies from any other interaction you have with us. Ticking an optional cookie checkbox does not constitute consent to receive marketing emails, newsletter subscriptions, or the sharing of your form data with third-party event sponsors. Conversely, choosing to reject non-essential cookies via the cookie banner will never result in a denial of access to our research papers, gated content, or digital events, provided you satisfy the specific registration requirements for those individual programs.

8.2 California and other U.S. state privacy laws

Some U.S. state privacy laws use broad definitions of "sale", "sharing" or "targeted advertising". Certain disclosures of online identifiers and browsing or interaction data to advertising, analytics or campaign partners may fall within those definitions even where no money changes hands.

Where CTI is required to provide an opt-out, you may use the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link or privacy control made available on the website, adjust Cookie Preferences, or use a legally recognized opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control. A general cookie banner is not the only method we use where a separate sale or sharing opt-out is legally required.

When we receive a valid opt-out preference signal, we treat it as an opt-out for the applicable browser or device and, where we can reasonably identify it, the associated profile. We provide a way to confirm that the request has been honored. We do not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

CTI is intended for a professional and business audience. We do not knowingly use cookies to sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

9. International processing and security

CTI and its service providers may process cookie-derived information in the United States, India and other countries where we or our providers operate. Privacy and data-protection laws in those countries may differ from the laws where you live. Where required, we use appropriate contractual and organizational safeguards for international transfers.

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational measures designed to protect cookie-derived information against unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, loss or disclosure. No online system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

10. Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when our website, technologies, vendors, purposes, retention practices or legal obligations change. We will update the "Last updated" date and, where required, provide additional notice or ask you to make a new choice before using cookies for a materially different purpose.
